Michael Swanwick will appear at the Merril Collection on November 18, 2010. 7:00 P.M. in the 3rd floor reading room, 239 College Street.

The Friends of the Merril Collection Annual Christmas Cream Tea will take place on December 4, 2010 at 1:30 P.M. in the lower level of 239 College St.

Chandler Davis, author, peace activist and professor of mathematics at the University of Toronto, spoke about his writing and his life in the lower level of 239 College St.on October 21, 2010.

Long Ago

Cory Doctorow appeared at the Merril Collection to launch his book, For the Win, on Friday June 4, 2010.

The 4th Annual Friends of the Merril Collection Flea Market took place on September 11, 2010.

May 13, The Friends of the Merril Collection sponsored a book launch for The Dragon and the Stars edited by Eric Choi and Derwin Mak,an anthology of fantasy and science fiction by writers of Chinese descent.

May 8. The 14th Fantastic Pulp Show took place in the lower level of 239 College St. Neil Mechem of Girasol Collectibles lectured on pulp cover art in the afternoon in the 3rd floor reading room of the Merril Collection.

April 29, Vampire Fun! A panel of experts including Chris Szego, Tanya Huff, Robert Knowlton amd Elizabeth Miller discussed the public's passionate enjoyment of blood-sucking monsters.

April 23, John Scalzi appeared at the Merril Collection. He read from a forthcoming novel and answered questions.

January 28, 2010: The Annual General Meeting of the Friends of the Merril Collection was held.

December 5, 2009, the Annual Christmas Cream Tea for the Friends of the Merril Collection was held.

September 12, 2009: The Friends of the Merril Collection Science Fiction and Anime Flea Market was held at the Toronto Reference Library.

August 18, 2009: Brian Herbert and Kevin Anderson launched their new novel The Winds of Dune, the direct sequel to Dune Messiah.

July 17-18, 2009: The Chandra Observatory presented a number of events, including a launch for Julie Czerneda's new book, Rift in the Sky

July 2, 2009: Toronto author Robert Charles Wilson launched his latest novel, Julian Comstock.

June 6, 2009: The 2009 Academic Conference on Canadian Science Fiction and Fantasy took place at the Merril Collection.
